Almost 10 metres of swimming distance — what that means in everyday use
With a pool length of almost 10 metres, the INFINITAS SP9200 is the largest model in our fully inground series and one of the largest series-produced swim spas on the European market. Compared with classic swim spas in the 5- to 7-metre class, it offers a real swimming lane — without the turning feeling that shorter models leave trained swimmers with. In addition, there are two separate functional areas: three seats for hydromassage and two loungers for deep relaxation in a single pool.
Like all models in the series, the SP9200 is fully sunken without a service shaft; the pool can be backfilled according to the instructions, and no additional masonry is required. Find out more about the construction on the [Fully Inground Swim Spas overview page](/swim-spas/fully-inground/).
In a classic 5-metre swim spa, the real net stroke distance is around 4 metres – after three or four strokes you reach the wall. The SP9200 offers around 9 metres of lane length. This fundamentally changes the swimming experience: you swim lengths as in a public pool, not “on the spot” against a current. Anyone using the swim spa as a serious training device gets, with the SP9200, the class of model that smaller units quickly fall short of.
Comfort Stream with upstream technology
The standard counter-current system of the SP9200 is the Comfort Stream system: two underwater flow nozzles use upstream technology to create a water layer that holds the body in its natural swimming position without the swimmer having to actively “fight against the current”. The turbine counter-current system with two turbines, eight power levels and a turbulence-free current is available as an option — the most ambitious version INFINITAS builds.
Dual-zone concept in one pool
Unlike most swim spas of this size, the SP9200 divides the swimming and lounge areas within a single pool. The two loungers and three seats are located in the rear third and arranged so that family members can use the lounge area without disturbing the swimmer.
High-quality equipment in detail
A Balboa Spa Touch 2 display, antibacterial coating of the pool shell, UV steriliser and ozone disinfection are standard. The INFINITAS Vision System for chlorine-free water care is available as an option. For heating this pool volume, we recommend the optional 13 or 17 kW heat pump — heater-only operation is not economical with a pool length of almost 10 m.
